A native of Rockford, IL, Dave Jones enters his 4th season with the Raptors and continues his work with the offensive and defensive linemen. Jones accepted the roll as Head Coach during the 2008 season during which the team achieved a second round playoff birth and an 8-6 record overall.

Prior to his appointment as Head Coach, Jones served as the offensive line coach and helped the team win back-to-back United Indoor Football League (UIF) Division Titles. The 2007 Raptors ranked first in passing offense, first in time of possession, and second in rushing offense.

Jones began his coaching career as an offensive line coach at Rockford College after joining the staff in 2002. He remains active in the community working with young football players wishing to play offensive line.

As a prep, Jones attended Rockford West High School. He went on to play football at Rock Valley College and was a walk-on athlete at Western Illinois University. At Rock Valley College, Jones earned state honorable mention accolades as a defensive tackle. He later earned his bachelor's degree from Columbia College ('80),

From 1982 through 1986, Jones played offensive guard for the semi-pro River Grove Cowboys, where he was a part of a National Championship Team and four (4) League Championships. Jones was a three-time All-Star and Team Captain for the Cowboys. He played in the first Trans-Atlantic Bowl in London, England. Jones also participated in the first ever experimental game of Arena Football for the Chicago Politicians at the Metro Centre in Rockford, IL.

Jones also serves the business communities of Rockford and Chicago as a graphic arts project manager.
